DAI BULLETIN | WEEK 7 - June 2020 on line
Please scroll down for this month day to day program
In light of the current pandemic restrictions we adapt the ways we learn together.
In accordance with the many conversations organised between the DAI crew, the DAI’s student led Crisis Group, the HTDTWT tutors, the COOP tutorial teams, and the partnering organisations, HTDTWT seminars, COOP study group sessions, Kitchen presentation and Kitchen coaching sessions are conducted through online group meetings for the months of May and June.
Kindled by the entirety of the our community’s responsive modes towards convening remotely, our May Bulletin welcomes a rather diluted timeline structure which – unlike the previously conceived DAI week timeline – allows encounters to be pervaded throughout the month.
How To Do Things With Theory:
The HTDTWT seminars in May and June are conducted in online group meetings. HTDTWT face to face meetings with 1st and 2nd year students are scheduled individually with the tutors. The work on the theses also continues through online tutoring in individual trajectories. Following the suggestion of the students, we step away from the fixed re-sit deadline of 25 June. In agreement between student and tutor the thesis can be submitted after 25 June, but not later than 31 July.
The tutors on board this month to contribute remotely to this defining module of our program are as follows:
Antonia Majaca, Rachel O'Reilly, Ana Teixeira Pinto, Amit S. Rai, Ghalya Saadawi, Hypatia Vourloumis and Florian Göttke.
Planetary Campus:
Since the 25thof May, DAI has been bringing the KITCHEN somewhat reluctantly, on line. 13 Kitchen presentations scheduled for June will continue landing on TEAMS in the presence of the the whole DAI community, hosted by DAI's director and featuring invited respondents. To make sure that the respondents to our provisional, on line Kitchen-sessions have an inkling to DAI’s history and communal ethos, we have decided to take the occasion and to team up with our Alumni Embassy , bringing back "home" some of our wonderful alumni and introduce them to the current generation of DAI-people. We also went back to some of our brilliant former (guest)tutors and asked them to digitally "return" to our Kitchen Sink as chose in respondent, next to the alumn respondent, to one specific, unique, on line Kitchen presentation by a student.
POST-KITCHEN Face 2 Face meetings with Gabriëlle following prospective KITCHEN sessions will be conducted online. Please find the frequently updated schedule HERE.
Factory 2.0 student led activities including General Assembly and Feed-Back Sessions via digital platforms.
Curriculum group (now falling under the Student Led Crisis Group) will meet with DAI’s director according to the Crisis meetings schedule.
The tutors and guests on board this month to contribute remotely to this defining module of our program are as follows:
Gabriëlle Schleijpen, Alumni Embassy Kitchen respondents (in order of appearance): Hu Wei, Aarti Sunder, Martha Jager, Tirza Kater, Despina Sevasti, Valentina Miorand, Anna Dasović, Clementine Edwards, Vinita Gatne, Alejandro Cerón, Luca Carboni, Joy Mariama Smith, Kostas Tzimoulis, returning Kitchen respondents (in order of appearance):Gigi Argyropoulou, Christian Nyampeta, Natasha Ginwala, You Mi, Manuela Moscoso, Stine Hebert, Didem Pekün, Veronica Valentini, Sandra Schaefer, María Íñigo Clavo, Stefanie Seibold, Quim Pujol and Nikos Doulos.
COOP study groups:
COOP Study Groups gatherings will be predominantly conducted on-line. Some groups expressed the desire to explore alternative modes of distance communication.
DAI will be embracing the various formats devised by each study group as meaningful gestures that negotiate their relation to the screen (or other) tools, engage with the singular and the collective and allow for other rhythms to infuse the study.
Each COOP’s Month to Month announcements will continue offering elaborate formulations on the study groups’ scheduled encounters. Reverberations of those occurrences will resume on our student led curated Chronicles page.
The tutors and guests on board this month to contribute remotely to this defining module of our program are as follows:
