Staci Bu Shea

Staci Bu Shea (b. 1988, Miami) is curator at Casco Art Institute: Working for the Commons in Utrecht, The Netherlands and has organized the exhibition program there together with the extended team since late 2017. Staci initiated Poetics of Living with Rizvana Bradley, a "study line” at Casco and platform to explore non-normative ways of living together in consideration of rapidly changing discourses around sexuality, health, communal life, and death. Together with Carmel Curtis, Staci curated Barbara Hammer: Evidentiary Bodies at Leslie Lohman Museum of Gay & Lesbian Art, NY in 2017. Staci graduated from the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College (CCS Bard, 2016) in New York.
