Returning to PAF!

We are returning to St. Erme in the North of France for yet another prolific week of "retreat" and semi-monastic life in the homey premises of  PAF - Performing Arts Forum.

Here in St. Erme no juries, no gatekeepers, some conditions but no selection: PAF is one of the very few truly open art residencies on the planet so to speak: a political project of love and generosity!  Our huge gratitude goes out to PAF's core collective for sustaining PAF’s vision and modus operandi, initially coined by the late theatre maker and founder of PAF, Jan Ritsema and for generously allowing us to be that DAI specific particle in their swarm.

For the entire duration of DAI Week 6 we will be living together and making imaginative use of PAF's spaces and facilities, while carrying out our How To Do Things With Theory, Planetary Campus and COOP curriculum components & more.

Students and tutors, make sure to carefully read PAF PRACTICALITIES & our shared COVID Protocol :

The foundation for our curricular support structure in 2022-2023, with among other crucial institutional affiliations, the trailblazing COOP partnerships with: *ARCHIVE (Berlin, Dakar, Milan), *Bulegoa z/b (Bilbao), *Casco Art Instite: Working for the Commons (Utrecht), *If I Can't Dance I Don't Want To Be Part Of Your Revolution (Amsterdam), *Neringa Forest Architecture (Nida) and *SAVVY Contemporary (Berlin) has been laid by DAI's artistic director and head of program, Gabriëlle Schleijpen: to be activated, animated and expanded by our sparkling students, devoted crew and brilliant faculty.

The tutorial teams and their guests on board this month, all contributing to the 3 defining curriculum components of our program are:

The PC consists of several modules: the Kitchen is curated and hosted by Gabriëlle Schleijpen, with Peter Sattler as production leader and with the thought provoking input of 13 student presenters. This DAI-week Kitchen guests Roos Gortzak and Claire Tancons will share their improvised responses and reflections with the presenters and performers and with the student body at large. We also warmly welcome Claire's son Sol!

Concurrently, Hypatia Vourloumis & Quinsy Gario are to engage with several students via Kitchen Coaching: entirely personal advisory sessions projected towards the AEROPONIC ACTS in July.

We are furthermore thrilled to welcome back, Elisa Guliano  who as co-curator (with Gabriëlle Schleijpen and Peter Sattler) of the Aeroponic Acts 2023 is to convene with all Generation 2021 students.

Last but not least: Factory 2.0, curated by Nikos Doulos with the amazing input of our student body to a series of student led workshops, feed back sessions and assemblies.
