FIRST YEAR STUDENTS (INCOMING 2024)

KITCHEN ACTS: 17 ECTS

Contact hours:

6 confluences (1,2,3,4,5 and 7)= 13.5 full days

Presence: 

Mandatory presence 4 out 5 confluences 1,2,3,4,5 ( = 80%)

Mandatory presence during FINAL FIRST YEAR KITCHENS Confluence 7.

Mandatory attendance of coaching sessions on offer.

Mandatory Kitchen presentations 1 & 2

Attendance of & participation in all presentations (including response sessions) by all peers (Including the AEROPONIC ACTS)

Self-study:

Preparation for 2 Kitchen presentations

Preparations in support of Kitchen presentations by peers

Documentation of 2 Kitchen presentations + responses

TESTING 

Kitchen presentation 1 & 2: orally transmitted formative responses by guest respondents: non-violent critique and constructive dialogue based on a question presented by the student, weighed by the Head of Program and building up to final grade after concluding the two-year trajectory.

Grade: Pass or fail at the end of the first year.

SECOND YEAR STUDENTS (INCOMING 2023)

KITCHEN ACTS: 17 ECTS

Mandatory attendance of curatorial sessions towards AEROPONIC ACTS

Mandatory Kitchen presentations 3+4 (4= AEROPONIC ACT)

Attendance of & participation in all presentations (including response sessions) by all peers.

Mandatory participation as respondent in the Final First Year Kitchen of the peers in the first year.

Mandatory presence during the public presentations of all peers as part of the AEROPONIC ACTS (Kitchen presentation 4) during Confluence 7.

Self-study:

Preparation for presentations 3+4 (AEROPONIC ACT)  

Preparations in support of presentations by peers

Documentation of presentation 3 + responses

TESTING 

Kitchen presentation 3: orally transmitted formative responses by guest respondents: non-violent critique and constructive dialogue based on a question presented by the student.

The formative responses by the guest responses during Kitchen 4, the AEROPONIC ACT, come with a written report, published on the AEROPONIC ACTS page of each individual second year student.

The Final Grade is based on the learning curve during the two-year trajectory and is informed by the entire Kitchen Acts modus operandi of the student, is assessed by the Head of Program, informed by the many formative responses of the Kitchen Acts guests and controlled by a BKE certified examiner. The final grading ( from insufficient to excellent) follows the DAI's
