Introduction

For DAI Week 8, DAI lands in the heart of the Valle dei Laghi in Trentino, Italy and at Centrale Fies: a Habsburg hydroelectric power plant running as a research center for contemporary performance practices since 1999.

This year's esteemed respondents to the AEROPONIC ACTS will be Phanuel Antwi, Chiara Figone, Momtaza Mehri & Ana Teixeira Pinto. Anchored by the one and only Giulia Crispiani (DAI, 2017) who is also the curator of the event, in close conversation with its initiator, DAI director Gabriëlle Schleijpen.

But before we embark on this enchanting AEROPONIC journey, against the backdrop of a stunning mountain range, our 8th DAI Week of the academic year 2021-2022 will ignite with 3 days of FINAL First Year KITCHEN presentations (students in their first year)with responses by Aziza Harmel (DAI, 2013), Sara Alberani as well as our 39 graduating students.

Concurrently we offer the grads a series of "Life After DAI" advisory sessions with Matteo Lucchetti & Mirjam Westen.
