Dalia, Dalia Maini, DM, Dalia Maini Troise, DMT was born in Naples, Italy, and has lived in Berlin, since 2018. They hope to go back to the South soon, as the metropolitan dream of cultural centrality has revealed its extractive perversion. DMT studied many things, in different and similarly uninspiring universities, among them cultural theory, decolonial studies and visual culture, but their favorite institutions is the school of the street, where oppression, disobedience and care dance together. DMT thought they would be a good teacher until they got patronized by a bunch of academics, and preferred to become a cultural hacker, finding softness and joy in the holding arms of the community of dissidents, anarchist, cuddly criminals, queerdos. With their support they initiated informal and provisory cultural infrastructures in every room, in every street, in every city, in every locality for everyone of every age, status, (be)longing. For love and survival, they are the editor-in-chief of the Berlin-based and internationally distributed street journal Arts of the Working Class, which they have contributed to shape from its early stages in 2018. Through their position, they aim to redistribute tools to cut through the high state corruption and intellectual vulgarity of our times. In the next ten years DMT will work on the materiality of change by learning how to intrude and appropriate national and international political affairs.
