Zoé Couppé ~ Keywords : eclectic, humor, auto-fictional, performance, narrative
Zoé Couppé (b.1997, Nevers, France) works in mediums such as writing, performance, radio and video. Her narratives combine humor and seriousness, following the voice of multi-faceted awareness. In a relationship to orality, exchange and listening her field of interest unravels in a complex network of interlocking stories. Zoé has developed a series of personal cosmologies in which she stages herself with characters and objects that engage in enigmatic conversations and interactions with each other. From Bernadette Scoubidou – a character based on the story of Sainte-Bernadette – to the Professeur Champignon and a phone cable looking like a snake, Zoé lends her characters a singular voice.
Together with Guilhem Prat, they develop projects (“At the same time”) that question the gesture of publishing, focusing on how it activates relational and affective exchanges.
