COOP SUMMIT 2023 ~ My mother composed me as I now compose her

| tag: Nida

Saturday, June 17 ~ 15:00 - 16:00

Location: Nida, Lithuania. Address: Nida Art Colony, E. A. Jonušo g. 3, 93127 Nida

COOP study group On Tradition - Future Ancestors 3: The Mother, The Archival and The Symbolic Order presents:

Who’s your mommy?

Reordering the symbolic order of mother(hood), evoking all the other ways that ‘the mother’ shows up for ourselves ~ each other. And the ways we honour, are let down, need more and fail those who are burdened by the expectations that burn too bright.

Undoing the West paradigm, dividing the I and the collective, the hierarchy of biological family; bringing forth the icons, notations and rhythms of the vast multiplicitous ways we are part of families. For the briefest moments, or the wholeness of our lives.

Painted scores, movement as language, symbols upended, renewed. The (mis)translations inherit to language, of being together; building ramshackle structures to bridge the divide; to be all incomplete. Slippery misunderstanding, dancing in the dark primordial afore.
