Workshopping Access is a relaxed space to share your work and get advice on how to make your work more accessible. Do you have an artwork, exhibition, event, website or space that would make more accessible? Or are you interested in accessible ways of making and creating an accessible workplace? Join this session to get practical guidance on a wide range of access tools from production to display, including on access riders, reasonable adjustments, sign language interpreting, audio description, captioning, image description, support work, access statements, relaxed spaces, access technologies and more. 

Led by Iarlaith and Saverio, all participants are encouraged to share their experience and perspectives on access in a discursive horizontal learning environment.

Held every DAI week, Iarlaith and Saverio will share case studies every session covering how to centre access in film, exhibitions, festivals, performance and learning events.

For this session, Iarlaith share some tips on accessible exhibition making and Saverio will discuss how to make an accessible online zine.

This is a relaxed 1 hour, with a break at 30mins session where you can rest, eat, walk around, come and go, fidget, twitch and do what you need to do to be comfortable.

This student initiative is facilitated by DAI by making it part of the syllabus 2022-2023 and by providing space and time for gathering. It is embedded in the curriculum component Factory 2.0 and participation is credited with ECTS.
