Considering the idea of the beauty salon as a place of refuge and safe-haven, we would like to invite you to join us this DAI week in creating this space where the practice of care is enacted through the sensuality of touch, the permission to be touched and a softening of the thresholds of permeabiltiy through the follicles of the hair and pores of the skin.

While we will provide some basic materials such as oils, hair extensions, nails and varnish, facemasks and we invite those who want to join to bring their own towel and haircomb, as well as any tools or accessories you would feel comfortable in using/sharing.

This student initiative is facilitated by DAI by making it part of the syllabus 2022-2023 and by providing space and time for gathering. It is embedded in the curriculum component Factory 2.0 and participation is credited with ECTS.
