Laura Alexander

Laura Alexander till recently, was the coordinator of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning at the Prince Claus Fund, where she was responsible for the collecting and analysing of information on the impact of the Fund.

She is particularly focussed on developing collaborative ME&L practices that provide insight into the needs of practitioners working at the intersection of arts and societal change based on the relationships between the organisation and its partners, and on critical reflection on the position and power of funding bodies in society.

Laura began her career at the Prince Claus Fund in 2017 as a researcher, gathering information on artists and cultural practitioners to inform the decisions of the Fund, and was a core member of the working group for the Forces of Art project. During this time she also completed a master’s degree in Philosophy at the University of Amsterdam, focussing on the legal structures of national citizenship as an issue of socio-political justice.

Laura's involvement@DAI started with a guest workshop at the 2022-2023 COOP study group ~ Long Time No See: Forming a new art economy of the commons. In 2023 she joined the Admissions Committee as a Funding Counsellor and came on board of the LIFE AFTER DAI team at Centrale Fies.
