Sagal Farah

Sagal Farah (born in Mogadishu, Somalia) Is a multi-disciplinary artist and writer and a researcher at SAVVY Contemporary - The Laboratory of Form-ideas in Berlin, Germany.

She graduated from Goldsmiths University of London and has published poetry in literary journals, co-written a short film that was selected for the 2019 Gothenburg Film Festival, written about Post-colonial poetry for Dagens Nyheter and participated in the first iteration of the Lagos Biennial Curatorial Intensive Programme in 2019.

She is currently the curator of the archive and documentation center SAVVY.DOC - one of the permanent pillars of SAVVY Contemporary - and is co-coordinating it’s instalment of the Arjun Appadurai Library.  She is also resident artist with SAVVY.DOC in the ERC research project Minor Universality.
