2020-2021 Factory 2.0: Nidra Practice, Deeprelax and Lucid Sleep

Nidra is a magical practice where we come into a deep state of rest and relaxation. It goes past the deepest forms of meditation and allows the subconscious mind to rise to the surface.

It is practiced in savasana and equals a few hours of sleep because the mind systematically changes and cycles through brain wave states, lowering beta and increasing alpha, theta and delta for the better. Yoga nidra literally changes the 'fluctuations of the mind' by slowing down brain wave frequencies and is a deeply healing and nourishing practice.

It is among the deepest possible states of relaxation while still maintaining full consciousness. In lucid dreaming, one is only, or mainly, conscious of the dream environment, and has little or no awareness of one's actual environment.

We will be guided by Dunja, our yoga instructor. 

 

*Dunja completed her 200h training in Rishikesh, India in 2018 during her summer away from university. In her classes, she loves to combine creative sequencing, a spirit of playfulness and a dose of inspiration to help deepen our practice. By nurturing the body, mind and soul with yoga, her hope is that you step off the mat feeling refreshed, nourished, and balanced, of course, with a big smile on your face.

This student intiative is facilitated by DAI by making it part of the syllabus 2020-2021 and by providing space and time for gathering. It is embedded in the curriculum component Factory 2.0 and participation is credited with ECTS.
