Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Its images of black and white sand patterning is infact from Cape Verde, but will be deeply familiar to those who know the island well.

Artists Gordon Hookey and Richard Bell will report in from their activities overseas, while Denise Ferreira da Silva will be visiting us from Vancouver to offer a short paper examining the notions of transition and transformation via a closer look at the idea of “possession”, and with a response by local Quandamooka artist Delvene Cockatoo-Collins.

For those unable to get to sunny Queensland, Frontier Imaginaries will have two programmes coming up in October and November 2017 that will be viewable via live-stream.
First up will be EdNo.3 (TOXIC) ASSET: a public seminar co-hosted by Columbia University and e-flux, October 18th - 22nd in New York City.
Stay tuned to our website and, of course, to e-flux announcements.

EdNo.3 ASSET (TRANSITION), Report-back and BBQ is organised in collaboration with the North Stradbroke Island Historical Museum, and thanks to the generous support of Milani Gallery.
We hope to see you soon!
Warmest wishes,
