Antonio Carnevale

Antonio Carnevale is Research Fellow in Philosophy and he has worked for the European project ‘‘RoboLaw’’ ( www.robolaw.eu ). He obtained his Ph.D. in Political Philosophy (2007) at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna with a dissertation on Needs, Rights, ‘Obligations in the Ethic of Recognition’. He spent research periods at the Institut für Sozialforschung at Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University in Frankfurt am Main with Axel Honneth (2003), and he was visiting scholar on the Committee on Social Thought of the University of University of Chicago (2006). His areas of specialization are modern and contemporary political philosophy, Hegel’s political and social thought, the Frankfurt School, social justice, shame, human enhancement, robotics and disabilities, ethics and emerging technologies.
