SCHEDULE DAI-WEEK 17-22 March 2016

March 17: Thursday

On the first day of each DAI week, the students split up in groups for the so-called COOP Academy; three commissioned projects tailored around specific research questions, organised and tutored by partnering organisations The Van Abbemuseum, Open! and Casco, Office for Art, Design and Theory.

14:00 Seminar Publishing Class: Between Animals or Beyond Being Human, framework by Open!

Today with curator and course leader Jorinde Seijdel, Associate PHD researcher Florian Göttke and guest tutor Kayla Anderson.

14:00 Seminar Inland Class, framework by Casco, Office for Art, Design and Theory. Today with core tutor Fernando García-Dory, curator and course leader Sanne Oorthuizen and guest tutor Elske Hageraat

15:00-15:30 Questioning of reading materials

16:00-18:30 The internal structure of INLAND by Fernando García-Dory

18:30-19:30 Dinner at DAI

19:30-21:00 Continuing the INLAND conversation & group discussion about final project presentation

March 18: Friday

9.00 -10:30 All students & Gabriëlle Schleijpen meet in front of the White Villa at Sonsbeek Park, for a meeting with Park Ranger Jeroen Glissenaar about staying in the park in June

One on one meetings between students and (guest) tutors. This week with: Nick Aikens, Christian Nyampeta, Jorinde Seijdel, Florian Göttke, Kayla Anderson, Sanne Oorthuizen, Fernando Garcia Dory, Sarah Pierce, Tirdad ZolghadrJon Mikel EubaSusan Gibb, Ruth Noack and Tina Gverović.

March 19: Saturday

On the Saturday of each DAI-week, the students split up in three groups for the projects that together form the so-called ROAMING ACADEMY.

10:00 -17:30 Seminar: Non-Transmittable Form  today with Ruth Noack and Tina Gverović

10:00 -19:00 Seminar: ACTION UNITES, WORDS DIVIDE (ON PRAXIS, AN UNSTATED THEORY) II by If I Can't Dance I Don't Want To Be Part Of Your Revolution & Jon Mikel Euba

14:30 Saturday PHD - afternoon: DAI's Associate PHD Research Collective research meeting with the participation of  closed session with Fotini Gouseti, Patricia Sousa, Padraig Robinson, Rosie Heinrich, Lauren Alexander, David Maroto, Florian Göttke, Marcelo Rezende, Antke Engel

19:00-20:00 communal dinner cooked by Mari Pitkänen

20:00 PHD-evening: presentation for all

21:30: Failure to Transmit - rehearsal.

13:00 - 18:30   ROAMING ASSEMBLY #4


A one-day assembly in Showroom Arnhem with speakers, screenings, performance and archives.

Curated and presented by Ruth Noack.

Open to the public ~ no entrance fee ~ location: Huis Oostpool, Arnhem

10:45-17:30 The Kitchen / Not The Restaurant; all students attend the lecture-presentations or lecture-performances by 8 students, this DAI-week's guest respondents are Marcelo Rezende and Mary Ellen Carroll, with Yael Davids in the audience. Yael will act as a coach to these eight presenters and return on May 12, 2016 for tutorials as well as on June 5 & 6, 2016 for a workshop on presenting/performing a lecture.
