Taking place on Thursday 3 March from 6pm, Performance Taxonomies seeks to analyze current typologies from which speculative improvements to the “convention” can be structured. Featuring contributions from Michael Portnoy himself, alongside Igor Dubricic (SNDO and Amsterdam School of the Arts), Bojana Mladenovic (artistic director SNDO), Eva Wittox (curator and critic, Museum M) - the event promises an irreverent and expansive look at performance today.

From Post-Dance to the Looped Readymade, what are the current breeds of performance seen at institutions? What alternative mutations and expanded possibilities can we envision? This program features a series of present and future taxonomies by key curators, artists and pedagogues in the field of the performance as to analyze current typologies from which speculative improvements to the “convention” can be structured.
