Sunday October 11: DordtYart finissage ~ Julien Grossmann (DAI, 2009) in conversation with Gerrit Willems

Coming Sunday is Dordtyart's finissage, during which I will have a conversation with Gerrit Willems about new installation Breakaway Songs.

Sunday October 11th, is the last day of a long DordtYart season. Never started so early with the ART Rotterdam in February and ended late, mid-October. The works function beautifully in the hall and three new works in the outside area appeared.
FINISSAGE DORDTYART 2015
At the festive finissage of the season, all the artists are present. We open that day at 11am so you can still enjoy for example Marnix de Nijs his Scan, Sweep, Swipe, Wipe or walk Wineke Gartz' Forwards Backwards.
The finissage-program starts at 3pm with a presentation of Julien Grossmann, revealing its sources. Grossmann will speak about his new work Breakaway Songs, in conversation with Gerrit Willems, and show a fragment of the film essay The Forgotten Space by Noël Burch & Allan Sekula, which has been a important influence on his recent work.
The season will end with drinks and culinary delights from the kitchen of Deborah.
