| tags: Amsterdam, Utrecht

Where:  site no.8 at the Amstelpark in Amsterdam

When: 21-25 May

Casco – Office for Art, Design and Theory extends a leg of its recently opened exhibition New Habits at Kunstvlaai in Amsterdam, and continues (Un)usual Business School of Cooperation, a workshop series by Amsterdam based artist Aimée Zito Lema whereby participants work together to acquire a particular set of skills, in this case: recycling/building/cooperation. We invite the Kunstvlaai audience to build a tent with recycled materials found at Amstelpark and at Casco while partaking in a discussion about how cooperation is embedded in our everyday practices, both mentally and physically, and what values these practices elicit. Please contact Yolande van der Heide at yolande@cascoprojects.org to join the workshop on 21 & 22 May, 13:00-18:00!

Aimée Zito Lema's project installation Body at Work-Rehearsing Cooperation (2013-2014) is on view at Casco through 13 July in the context New Habits. Zito Lema has been collaborating with Casco in the guise of Artist at Work since Spring 2013 and has been particularly connected to (Un)usual Business, a research collaboration between Casco and Kritische Studenten Utrecht, exploring forms of community economies in and out of Utrecht.

A selection of publications from Casco and Publishing Class, an imprint of Dutch Art Institute (DAI) Publications with limited edition zines from the Community in Print edition will be available at the Kunstvlaai pop up bookstore!
