DAI joins a new research project on Rabindranath Tagore

The exhibition Tagore's Universal Allegories in London marked the start of a research project on Rabindranath Tagore realized through an Arts and Humanities Research Council funded partnership between Iniva and Goldsmiths College in London in alliance with the Dutch Art Institute ( MFA/ArtEZ) in Arnhem and the nGbk Berlin.

Integrated in this joint research trajectory the DAI-project To Make A Work will bring DAI-students to Santiniketan, a hundred miles to the north of Kolkata, were in 1901 Rabindranath Tagore started an open air school , later to be expanded into an International University - a centre of learning which would have the best of the East and the West. In Santiniketan, the students together with tutors Grant Watson and Wendelien van Oldenborgh  will team up with The Otolith Group, Andrea Philips and Rustom Bharucha.
