November 18 : RIGHT TO EDUCATION IN PALESTINE / perfomance '5 Voices on Adminstrative Detention' by Mercedes Azpilicueta (DAI,2013) as part of a symposium organised by Amnesty International Nijmegen
In the afternoon of Monday 18 November, a flashmob on the Erasmusplein of the Nijmegen University will face the students with their own acces to education compared to the situation of Palestinian students. Administrative detention is a form of detention by which people can be detained indefinitely without charge or trial. Many Palestinian students have experienced such detention.

The Right 2 Education campaign creates awareness about the effects of the military Israeli occupation on education in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. The campaign created a global network of solidarity and support. The Amnesty International Studentsgroup Nijmegen also joined the network by organization this Right to Education day.
