2013 - Marfa, Texas: FINAL PRESENTATION 7 June / Summer School Marfa 2013 / sixteen artists, twelve nationalities, three art colleges / including Hanan Benammar, Sarah Jones, Larraitz Torres, Silvia Ulloa (all DAI, 2014)
Summer School Marfa is a three-week fieldtrip and fieldwork studio from May 20 to June 10, 2013 in Marfa, Texas.
Sixteen students from the Dutch Art Institute, the Sandberg Instituut/Gerrit Rietveld Academie and the California College of Arts (CCA) are examining the transformation of Marfa and engage in a critical analysis of the value and use of public art using fieldwork methods. On Friday 7 June they will present their art works including installations, photography, media and performative works at event space 213 in Marfa.
