PRESENT! exhibition offers a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the wide range of the current and critical art scene of Utrecht in the year 2012. During UITFEEST Academy Gallery, BAK, Casco, Expodium, FOTODOK and Impakt - united in the Visual Arts Network Utrecht (BK-NU) – will present works from their current and upcoming events and practices.

Expodium will present works by Susana Pedrosa and Informal Strategies (Doris Denekamp & Geert van Mil) that took place during Expodium's locatie: KANALENEILAND residency.

Susana Pedrosa  participates with a set of posters that derive from her correspondence with a Portuguese friend who is developing a project for the rural village of São Cristóvão, in Portugal. The relative parallelism of being both in a residency generated an exchange of ideas and brainstorming that often degenerated in free associations and private thoughts. In addition she will be screening a video documentation of her AEROBICS FOR ARTISTS event that took place in Kanaleneiland in collaboration with Klarita Fit.
Informal Strategies will present a map as a first decodification of their long term research on IKEA and its local and global forms of appearance. The project kick-started in Kanaleneiland and after frequent breakfast visits to IKEA, archiving the origin of approximately 2400 of its products and handing out IKEA uniforms to "dress" the balconies of Kanaleneiland as laundry, Informal Strategies expanded their IKEA research to Dublin and Bucharest.
