2024 - 2025 Factory ~ Student Led: Game Design Sessions: Party Games

We are Homo ludens. We play seriously or for fun during the collapse of capitalism because it’s inherent to us: play helps form personal bonds, allow us to see with different eyes and be more than ourselves. Play can be social, can be on solitude moments. Game Design Sessions are short workshops where we can explore the myriad of game design theories and practices, and each workshop will offer a perspective based on a different type of game.

DECEMBER 9, 2024

Led by Fagner Lima Frias Da Silva

When: 17:30 - 19:30

Location: Saltanes

The first GDS will focus on fun (and the 8 types of fun theory) and Party Games: social and casual games that normally play with a high number of players. In a short time we will discuss and prototype ideas. It will be a fast-paced and (I hope) fun experience.

This student initiative is facilitated by DAI by making it part of the syllabus 2024-2025 and by providing space and time for gathering. It is embedded in the curriculum component WEAVER and participation is credited with ECTS.
