Gertrude Flentge
Gertrude Flentge (1970) studied arts management at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands and has been actively involved in developing, facilitating and financing international cultural projects and exchanges ever since.
From 1996 to 1999 she coordinated exchange between artists and intellectuals from all over Europe within the Gulliver network at Felix Meritis. From 2000 till 2004 she developed and coordinated the RAIN network for visual artists initiatives in Africa, Asia and Latin-America at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam. In 2005 she was coordinator of the website www.thepowerofculture.org. From 2005 till 2007 she worked as programme officer culture in Central-Asia and Latin-America at Hivos, the Hague. Since then Gertrude has been developing and managing the international culture programme at DOEN foundation (www.doen.nl).
