Seán Being (b. 1997, Dublin) is a musician and performer working across popular music, sacred music and voice. Their practice is rooted in DIY modes of production/dissemination, working as a solo artist, in the band Princ€ss, and as a collaborator in local and digital music circles. Their research is concerned with materialist questions on the relation of musical form to structures of hegemony (church, state, corporation) through transpositions of liturgical, underground, corporate and "national" musics. Seán has performed in artist-led and institutional settings in Ireland, the UK, Europe and North America and their music has been reviewed in Pitchfork (US), Boomkat (UK), and The Thin Air (IE). They have been resident on Dublin Digital Radio, and a guest on NTS Radio and BBC Radio 6.
