2023 - 2024 Factory 2.0 ~ Student Led: Sharing the walking brain

JANUARY 22, 2024

Led by Nada Gambier

When: 11:00 - 13:00

Starting Location: Main Kitchen

Sharing the walking brain is an invitation to wander together through the landscape of NIDA as a motor for peer to peer mentoring and co-learning. At the start, I will propose a few guidelines and pair you up two by two. You will then begin walking and talking, using an abundance of spontaneous questions as a formula for unleashing curiosity and through that, knowledge. The base of our conversations will be your preoccupations, your work, your practice, your current project, your relation to Dai’s teachings… Halfway through the walk we pause for a check-in ritual on the beach.

Sharing the walking brain’s aim is to bridge our private (working) concerns with what we meet at DAI, confronting the master program’s teachings to our own positions and trying to, by asking many questions, come closer to bridging them and bringing them into conversation with each other. This is also a desire for the space of accompanied quiet contemplation to enter the digestion process.

This student initiative is facilitated by DAI by making it part of the syllabus 2023-2024 and by providing space and time for gathering. It is embedded in the curriculum component WEAVER and participation is credited with ECTS.
