From "Rupert", his August 2023 residency in Vilnius, Marc Norbert Hörler (DAI, 2020) shares some remarkable updates on his activities. Mediations, articulations, "hecaetean lines", "for heat and fervor", and, last but not least his nomination for the Swiss Performance Art Award, which we at DAI, it goes without words, more than fully endorse. Read his communique here.

Marc Norbert Hörler's message to us:

"Rupert:

I'm very happy to be spending the month of August as a resident at Rupert in Vilnius. I am sharing this full lunar cycle with wonderful fellow residents and film makers Fred Schmidt-Arenales & Monika Uchiyama as well as curator Amy Watson. In October, I'll return for a moment of meditation with my work and to immerse myself into a process of spending time with the materials and practices that make up my research. Do put me in touch with friends and colleagues <3

My stay at Rupert is kindly supported with a travel stipend by Goethe Institute Vilnius. On 28 August 2023, they are celebrating their 25th anniversary on the grounds of Rupert, for which I have prepared a performative adaption of my current piece-in-progress for heat and fervor, performed by three local artists from Vilnius.

In the context of my residency at Rupert and together with my fellow residents, we will talk about and share our practices with the public in an event called Articulations, organised by Rupert and hosted at Meduza on 30 August 2023, 7 pm.
