Ali Lara

Ali Lara is doctor in Critical Social Psychology by the Autonomous University of Barcelona and was previously postdoctoral fellow at the City University of New York. He currently works as a Senior Lecturer at the University of East London where he teaches Critical Race Theory and Decolonial thinking. His research interests mix race theory, affect studies, and indigenous cosmogonies to explore the marks of colonization on the human body and its capacity to feel. He is author of the book "Digesting Reality" published by Routledge in 2021. Ali has collaborated teaching within different art programs in Europe like the Cologne Art Institute, Centro Duarte at University of Navarra, and of course the Dutch Art Institute.
