Mayar Alexan is a multidisciplinary performance artist who blends theatrical approaches with experimental visual experiences. Utilizing the performative body as the main pillar of artistic expression, Mayar merges light and set design to construct narratives and explore provoking questions.

His work seeks to give form to elusive, often intangible realms, the spaces the mind inhabits during moments of catastrophe and the half-imagined worlds that offer refuge from harsh realities. Themes such as dreams, the afterlife, utopia, and Alzheimer’s have been central to his artistic practice. Captivated by the complex duality of these realms, Mayar examines how the tangible and the imaginary coexist to shape his perceptions of the world.
