Abstract

I am preparing language

pass it on

this is just a record.

This is a record of an experiment with word-holders, words that make a story that make a world. Like stories, also bodies harbor the transformative power of worlding. Working with the term corporeal literacy, the text discusses how learnt tendencies and meaning making skills are held in the body. It signals and critiques the Western capitalist-colonialist tendency of doing knowing-as-capture, and researches the potentialities of remembering, voicing and tuning as practices of re-wor(l)ding. As it matters what matters we use to think other matters with, the matter of writing is put to play to perform intra-actions with your skin, to call upon the skinskinskins, aka all those strangers in your breath, aka the seeds of possibility lying dormant in the void, the belly. So that they may touch and tune and grow the sense-making capacities that are necessary to open up for a multiplicity of literacies to arise.
