WOW ~ Vanja Smiljanic (DAI, 2012) will present Waves of Worship in the context of the "cross-border" Performance Festival where institutions from Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany present international performance artists. Their actions range from a barrel organ playing sound recordings from a solidarity protest, intermedia performances, and a site-specific performance in the kitchen of the former monastery. The Kunsthaus NRW with its baroque decor and green outdoor grounds offers an attractive setting for contemporary performative positions.

Very Contemporary
– Performance Festival »cross-border«
24.09.2022, 11-18h

The »Very Contemporary Performance Festival cross-border« will take place on Saturday, 24 September from 11 am - 6 pm at Kunsthaus NRW in Kornelimünster (Aachen, D) and has been produced by NAK Neuer Aachener Kunstverein and Kunsthaus NRW.

Institutions from Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany present international performance artists.

Very Contemporary is a network of exhibition venues for contemporary art in the EUREGIO Meuse-Rhine. The cultural exchange between the three countries in the middle of Europe is also of particular importance for the art scene. The network has been testing an intensive exchange across borders for many years.

Enjoy – international performance artists, a special venue, food & drinks!
