Mirjam Steffen is an artist, art worker, researcher and curator based in Lucerne (CH) working individually and in various collectives. Her practice focuses on conscious and unconscious forms of living together and questions strategies of building, shaping and changing the world we inhabit. She is engaged in alternative forms of living and simultaneously researches around the topics of togetherness and shared space. For this she uses various mediums such as film, photography, writing, sound recording, text, curating, constructing and building.

Mirjam Steffen is part of the curatorial collective Limbo, co-founding KEINRAUM and LIMBO, two tiny art spaces in Lucerne and Zurich (CH). Both are present in the form of showcases in public or semi-public spaces to make art accessible to a wider audience. Apart from that, Steffen was playing and recording with the band Nice for several years. Currently, she is busy with building and improving the infrastructure of the self-organized community she lives in.
