Eli Witteman writes about friendship, family, intimacy, nostalgia and small versions of utopia. They are especially interested in autotheoretical writing, or otherwise: the crossover between philosophy, literature, art and personal stories. They have a background in the philosophy of language, logic, the philosophy of mathematics, linguistics and painting. They worked at the Amsterdam food bank, as a caregiver for elderly people and as a tutor for children and teenagers. They are furthermore interested in public space and who it is designed for, and accordingly undertake actions against hostile architecture.
Eli is currently working for publisher Valiz in Amsterdam, and freelances as art journalist and writer of other types of stories.
