Chiara Pagano is an artist and researcher whose work moves at the intersection between performance, experimental writing, and music composition.
Dealing with feminist epistemologies and corporeality, and moving into the territories of performance, sound, and critical race theory, her research reconsiders cultural memory and politics recorded from the mid-twentieth century onwards, specifically in Italy. With a particular focus on industrialization, gender relations, sound, and popular culture, it addresses questions of language, the archive, and identity formation, advocating the creation of counter-narratives and practices of self-emancipation.
Chiara is currently a PhD researcher in Music and Performance at the Department of History, Anthropology, Religions, Art History, Media and Performing Arts, Sapienza University of Rome.
