Akinbode Akinbiyi was born in Oxford, England of Nigerian parents and has been a freelance photographer since 1977. Akinbiyi’s primary photographic focus attempts to understand and deeply engage with the modern city. The work is open-ended and driven by a desire to dive deeply into the meaning and subjectivity of the everyday. Akinbiyi lives in and works out of Berlin.
