Aline Baiana
Aline Baiana is an Afro-Pindoramic artist, born in 1985, in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil.
She graduated in cinema, studied environmental management and contemporary art.
In her research she addressed what could be called the “ontological conflict” between the North and the Global South.
Baiana participated in several exhibitions in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Belo Horizonte and Salvador, and was recently commissioned for 14th Sharjah Biennial and the Berlin Biennial 11.
Aline Baiana is one of the 2022-2023 grant holders in the Berliner Förderprogramm Künstlerische Forschung / Berlin Artistic Research Grant Programme.
