Mia van den Bos ~ Keywords: writing, organising, communist poetics, worker's movement(s) histories and futures, the Artists' Social Union

Mia van den Bos is an art worker, librarian, writer and artist from Tarndanya/Adelaide in so-called-Australia and is currently based in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Mia’s work and research interests are rooted in working class subjectivities, labour movement history and a commitment to a renewed communist poetics and futurity.  Mia was a founding Co-Director of Sister, a gallery and project space, from 2016 – 2019 and has worked in arts administrative and curatorial roles at Art Gallery of South Australia, Tarnanthi, MOD., FRAN FEST and the City of Adelaide. Since 2022 Mia is a Board Member of Platform BK, an artist's organisation that researches the role of art in society and takes action for a better art policy. Mia is on the 2024 Editorial Committee of un Magazine, an independent contemporary art magazine printed in Narrm/Melbourne.
