Kunstfort Kasus – Isabel Marcos: part 2
To be visited from 5 juni 2021 onward at the
peninsula of Kunstfort Vijfhuizen

During Kunstfort Kasus 2020, Marcos (Spain, 1986) researched the fort’s architecture and the relationship between people and objects in the water, such as anchors, chains, and buoys. As part of this, she developed a series of site-specific sculptural installations, under the name Liquid Anchor. The installations consider the notion of sinking from a hydrofeminist perspective. This sound piece is the second outcome of her ongoing research, for which she collaborated with Tjitske Baarda, who since 2010 has been affiliated with the Kunstfort as a volunteer.
