Sonia Kazovsky (DAI 2017) is an artist and researcher based in Amsterdam. Sonia’s research driven work engages with institutionally acknowledged narratives, (h)istorical plots and labour relations with an attempt to articulate propositions for other worlds and social configurations. Sonia’s practice is mostly collaborative, she is committed to organisation of different cooperatives and working structures for herself and fellow practitioners with the aim to develop and strengthen enduring practices in a precarious field.
Sonia’s s work has been exhibited in institutional frameworks as well as self organised efforts. In 2019, Sonia’s work was nominated for the artist revelation prize of ADAGP, at MAD Paris (FR) and in 2020 she received the stipend for Emerging artists from the Mondriaan fund (NL).
