Dear friend Hanan Benammar (DAI, 2015) sends us several, very informative articles about Ways of Seeing, the theatre piece that triggered intense political pressure from the extreme-right party in Norway. The controversies started in November 2018, when this production, which she made together with Pia Maria Roll, Sara Baban and Marius von der Fehr, premiered at the Black Box Theatre in Oslo.

Hanan writes: "Attempts of censorship, deafening silence from the Norwegian art scene, general paralysis from the left, threats and most importantly: attempts of framing this work as having inspired terrorism. However, after a few months the truth came to the surface. This is of course not over, at this point we do expect more of the unacceptable.
Meanwhile, Süddeutsche Zeitung has to my delight covered the case and I hope you will enjoy the read as much as we enjoyed this extraordinary adventure, however painful and disturbing. Here is also a commissioned text going through the story chronologically (in English)and one of the latest reviews in Kunstkritikk International ( also in English)."
