Zak Kyes

Zak Kyes is a is a Swiss American graphic designer living in London. He is Art director of the Architectural Association and Co-director of Beford Press. Kyes formed the desing studio Z.A.K. in 2005.

Kyes’ practice encompasses publishing, curating and site-specific projects for and with art institutions. His workengages with publications and their dissemination as sites for debate and exchange rather than documentation. His books include The Reader: Iaspis Forum on Design and Critical Practice (with Magnus Ericson et al., 2009), Exhibition Prosthetics (with Joseph Grigely, 2010) and Cosey Complex Reader (with Maria Fusco and Richard Birkett, 2010).
