Fay Nicolson
Fay Nicolson is an artist interested in artistic and mass production / work and performance / documentation and history / factual and fictitious narratives / structures that carry information / processes of de and re-contextualization / exchange and collaboration / invitations and constraints. Fay has been selected by curatorial collective CPS to take part in Manifesta 8.
Recent projects include ‘An ABC of Aesthetic Journalism’, Künstlerhaus Büchsenhausen, Innsbruck, 09 and ‘All Work and No Play’, the Quad, Derby, 09. Curatorial projects include ‘Fictions’ (Co-curated with Hugh Dichmont), the Bonington Gallery, Nottingham, 09.
As an arts educator Fay has worked with institutions and galleries such as Gasworks, Chisenhale Gallery, Camden Arts Centre, the Institute of Education and the University of the Arts London. Fay is currently undertaking an MA at the Royal College of Art in London.
