Georgia Alexandri
Dr Georgia Alexandri is currently employed as a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Social Anthropology and Spanish Philosophical Thinking of the Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain), awarded with the excellence fellowship scheme “Talent Attraction” by the regional government of Madrid. Her research interests cover three key themes: (i) Urban policies, gentrification and displacement; (ii) Interaction of diverse ethnic and social groups, solidarity networks and fear of the “other”, and; (iii) Post-crisis housing restructuring and processes of housing financialisation in Spain and Greece. In 2018 she was awarded the Marie Curie postdoctoral fellowship by the EC to join the School of Geography, University of Leeds and strengthen her comparative research on housing financialisation.
