DAI hereby wishes to express its deepest concerns about the catastrophic developments in Turkey as well our desperation about the lack of appropriate political response from the part of the European community so far. Following Friday's coup attempt in Turkey the education sector, including higher education, has been targeted, as have many other public sectors. We join the European University Association and condemn the forced resignation of 1577 university deans.
