Artistic research by Rietveld students will be displayed in the theatre of the Flemish Community in Amsterdam, De Brakke Grond, intersecting with a four day public program of lectures, performances and screenings.

Curated and presented by Maaike Lauwaert
Featuring Karen Archey, Cécile B. Evans, Hans-Christian Dany, Melanie Bühler and Geo Wyeth. Screening of Kempinski by Neïl Beloufa.

April 8 — PROPOSITIONS ON THE SUBJECT
Curated and presented by If I Can’t Dance I Don’t Want To Be Part Of Your Revolution
With a lecture and screening of Love Machines by Keti Chukhrov. With Nataša Ilić / WHW and performances by Xavier Le Roy and Alicia Frankovich.

April 9 — SYSTEMS OF A GREATER SUM
Curated and presented by Mohammad Salemy

April 10 — MAPPING AND BEING MAPPED. NAVIGATION SYSTEMS, CONTROL ENVIRONMENTS AND COGNITIVE MAPS
Curated and presented by Anselm Franke
With Alex Anikina, Brian Holmes, Filipa Ramos, Ana Teixeira Pinto, Jan Peter Hammer (screening Tilikum). Screening of Harun Farocki's, Parallel I-IV.

During the conference the results of a workshop for first year students - conceptualized and guided by artist L.D Garnier - will be presented.

Framework conference-festival: Studium Generale Rietveld Academie ~ exploratory theory program aimed at all departments and open to the public. Chief curator: Jorinde Seijdel. Assistent curator: Jort van der Laan.

Framework exhibition: Rietveld Uncut ~ annual presentation revealing the process of making within the academy to the outside world. Curated by Tomas Adolfs & Tarja Szaraniec.
