Dear Aida Grovestins & Machteld Aardse,
We have the honour of informing you that your film titled "Quitte le Pouvoir" has been nominated for the Freedom Award, at the 6th Passion for Freedom Festival in London. Your film has been recognized for its artistic and documentary value and we are delighted to present a trailer of the film on our website and Facebook page, as well as at the exhibition and private viewing on the 8th of November 2014, at the Embassy Tea Gallery in London (next to Tate Modern).
Passion for Freedom is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the preservation and promotion of freedom of speech and humanistic values via the medium of creative expression.
So far this year, 13 films covering human rights issues in more than 10 countries all around the world have been nominated.
Please note that nomination does not mean that the film will be screened during the festival. There will be a second selection stage, in which 3 films will be shortlisted for screenings in November. We will inform you of this via a separate email and will at that stage request the relevant screening rights.
In order to promote your film we ask you to please send us a high definition version of your movie trailer via WeTransfer, YouSendIt or Dropbox to film@passionforfreedom.co.uk. That way we can include a high quality clip of your film in our nominee's selection.
Once again many thanks and congratulations for your nomination. We will keep you informed about all the news related to the festival and your nomination.
Yours sincerely,
Aga & Niki

Quitte le Pouvoir (WADE, GET OUT!) is a documentary film (2014 | 36′) with subtle animations. When a group of young rappers from Dakar, Senegal, join forces through their music to create a revolt, the presidential elections get a surprising turn. By using animations over the live action footage, the dark atmosphere of the tension hanging over the city is subtly highlighted.
Aida Grovestins (director, producer), Machteld Aardse (drawings for animations, producer), Hanneke van der Linden (animations), Cheikh Diarra (title song, narrator), Julien Grossmann (music), Allard Detiger (montage), Aart Jan van der Linden (pre-montage)
