The prize (€ 50.000 to be spent on a publication or on an exhibition and € 50.000 cash) honours her clear vision on complicated contemporary issues and her striking capacity to integrate this vision in exceptional, strong and layered works of art - mostly film and slide installations.
In the past the prize has been awarded to Mark Manders, Arnout Mik, Daan van Golden, Barbara Visser and other outstanding Dutch artists.
We are very proud that Wendelien is a committed member of our 'fleeting community'.
