Matthew Lutz-Kinoy
Matthew Lutz-Kinoy is an artist from New York, currently working out of Berlin. His studio method is interdisciplinary and recent projects take the form of dance, sculpture installation, printmaking, publications, video, and painting. Lutz-Kinoy has recently developed a series of performances dealing with multiplicity of social architecture and identity. He collaborates with many artists, most recently with Natsuko Uchino on his current endeavors in ceramics and meal planning, he is also the in-house choreographer for New Theater opening summer 2013 in Berlin.
Lutz-Kinoy completed the Rijksakademie international artists residency in 2011 and received his undergraduate degree from The Cooper Union School of Art in 2007.
Lutz-Kinoy's painting and performance work has been shown at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, New Museum, Elaine MGK, Hayward Gallery Project Space, Kunsthalle Baden- Baden, X initiative. Recent solo shows have been at OUTPOST, Norwich, England, Deweer gallery, Ottegem, Belgium and Silberkuppe, Berlin, Germany. His videos have been screened most recently at the Berlinale Film Festival, New Museum, New York and White Chapel Gallery.
