June Chronicle curated by Nadja Henß with collective contributions by On Tradition - Future Ancestors 2: Rurality and Law participants
The almost last meeting of the Future Ancestors
in this constellation
seeking refuge from the sun
under the trees of the monastery.
One of them was lying in the grass
with distance
listening to their songs, poems, ideas and laughter
with a foggy head
waiting for their visit.
They were pleasant those visits in the garden,
seeing the group trusting each other
tired
but smiling.
The one in the distance
was witnessing their steps
and moved by the beautiful things they made.
- Text made by the group in response to Cristina Campo’s poem ‘La Tigra Assenza’ :
AHI
What’s the silence praying for?
What if
Beloved ones
itamo o amati
The silence of petrified waves
Beloved ones
Oh to devour this face
Totally absence
Devour absence
Remember me,
Pray absence
Beloved absence
The color of the sky is infinite
Big kat

O amati assenzi
Pray again

The words me speak
Make worlds
Two faces chalked
With white dots
Turn into the face
Of a leopard
The leopard
Turns into the face of a woman
The woman is an empress

What if
Still turned towards you
What if
You are not an island
Still only the mouth
Still devoured
